April Jackson is a transformative leader with an exceptional ability to infuse purpose and passion into diverse spaces, inspiring individuals, organizations, and communities. April is the founder of CAPJ Consulting which provides consulting, executive coaching and strategic planning services. Her approach is grounded in mindfulness, emphasizing the intrinsic humanity of her interactions. Boasting over two decades of experience in education, administration, and leadership, April has been a driving force in supporting and shaping organizations and those that work within them.
April is committed to a mission of wellness for all. This commitment is representative of her brand ambassadorship with the international company lululemon, representing the South Hills Pittsburgh store and all of Allegheny county. She is also a board member for Case Specific Nutrition’s Chronic Disease and Health Alliance (CDHA).
April’s impact extends across executive coaching within organizations such as Women In Tech Pittsburgh (WITPGH), Black tech Nation (//BTN), Open Up Pittsburgh and others. She has lent her expertise to major companies such as lululemon, FedEx Ground, NASA, University of Pittsburgh, City of Pittsburgh, Dollar Bank, and Los Angeles Unified School District, contributing to equity work and leadership coaching. April's personal success serves as a testament to the transformative power of comprehensive support systems. April has demonstrated a commitment to fostering equitable pathways and empowering individuals to navigate their personal and professional journeys authentically.
April holds a BA in History from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and pursued graduate studies in education administration and leadership at California State University, Dominguez Hills, and the University of California, Los Angeles. She has her 500 Registered Yoga Alliance certification and specializes in yoga and mindfulness education.
Currently residing in Pennsylvania with her family, April is not only a dedicated professional but also a beach devotee who finds solace in reading, traveling, and soaking in the sun.

This, along with her commitment to equity, ensures all participants have a chance to contribute and achieve their goals. April's background in holistic support empowers individuals to navigate personal and professional challenges. She has a proven track record of facilitating impactful discussions for organizations like WQED, The City of Pittsburgh, and FedEx Ground, Los Angeles Unified School District, Penn Energy and The Hear Foundation, among others. In addition to her consulting and coaching practice she currently serves as Open Up Pittsburgh’s Advocacy specialist.
April has a BA in History, from University of California, Santa Barbara. Her graduate studies were in Education Administration and Leadership (California State University, Dominguez Hills & University of California, Los Angeles). She is a 500 RYT Yoga Teacher and Certified Mindfulness Instructor (with over 2 Twenty years of experience and she is an International Coaching Federation Certified Executive Leadership Coach
April currently lives in Pennsylvania with her family. She is a beach devotee, who loves to read, travel and soak in the sun.
